The VLGA actively works to increase women’s participation in local governments as citizens, candidates and councillors. The VLGA plays an integral role in training and equipping women considering becoming a candidate in local government elections.
The VLGA also represents the local government sector on the Victorian Local Government Gender Equality Advisory Committee.
