Linkage Partner / Co-Funder
VicHealth
The
Victorian Health Promotion Foundation, best known as VicHealth, works in partnership with organisations, communities, and individuals to make health a central part of people's everyday lives. The principles underpinning VicHealth's strategies fit well with the aims of this project, including building health-promoting public policy, developing and supporting partnerships for health, and creating environments that support healthy choices. Their
mental health promotion strategy, which encompasses freedom from discrimination and violence, has generated a number of resources relevant to this project. VicHealth is a co-funder of this project, with the
Australian Research Council and the
University of Melbourne.

Victorian-wide Agency Partners
Victorian Local Governance Association
The Victorian Local Governance Association (VLGA) is a state-wide peak body for local governments and communities. VLGA advocates for progressive social change and aims to empower local governments by strengthening their capacity to engage with their communities.
VLGA, along with 7 other State-wide organisations, is a member for the
Women’s Participation in Local Governance Coalition (WPILGC). VLGA undertakes the secretariat role for the Coalition. The Coalition has two goals: (1) to achieve gender equity in local governments; and (2) to change the culture of local politics so it better reflects the needs and hopes of women for themselves, their families and communities. Its current and future projects reflect these goals. The Victorian Local Government Women’s Charter and the Victorian Centenary of Federation Women's Petition 2001 are policy tools which the VLGA and the WIPLGC encourages local governments to use.
