About the VisualPlace Map

VisualPlace is a six month Proof of Concept testing innovative ways of capturing, exploring and visualising government information and services through maps and may assist you with gathering and displaying the information you need. It provides an interactive GIS-enabled application to map and visualise government data and services.

Search through a wide range of services categories such as schools, hospitals and education for services within your local area and view your results on the VisualPlace Map.

Display Services
Find, locate and map service locations throughout Victoria such as Train and Tram lines, Police Stations, Life Saving Clubs and Libraries.

Thematic Mapping
Search and map data at both state and local government area levels. Data includes a wide range of facts about a community such as citizen demographics, employment, education, and health. Create more detailed maps by overlaying locations of services with thematic data.
